My Heaven On Earth

This past week I had the great pleasure of dying and going to heaven in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I was there on business and thought that I should treat myself to a little pampering for all of my hard work. I decided to get a massage just like I always do. I walked over to the marina and went to my favorite spa and was greeted warmly as always. I was asked if it would OK if a gentleman gave me my massage today, I had never had one by a man before, but told the proprietor that this was fine, didn't matter to me.At this point I was led down a dark hall, only lit by candles lining the hallway floor, soft spa like music was playing overhead and my senses were overcome by the sweet smell of lavender oil of some kind. I knew I was in for a treat.
I was show to my massage table and told to disrobe and to lie face down and cover up with a white sheet that lay draped across the table. I was there for just a moment when the door opened, my male masseuse had arrived.As mentioned before I was lying face down and I never saw his face but the moment he started my massage I knew this would be a massage like no other,and a day I would remember for the rest of my life.

Even though I had not seen my masseuse I could tell he was tall and had very strong hands by the feel of his touch. at one point he stood over head and ran his thumbs from the base of my skull all the way down my back on both sides of my spine, I could feel my nerve endings start to come alive. This old back really needed this tender firm care. That was the start of this heavenly experience for me.

At one point he held the towel up in front of his face and whispered turn over please, little did I know these would be the only words that he would speak. Cucumber slices were laid on my eyes and the cool sent filled the air. He proceeded to work his magic on my thighs which were in great need of special attention, and I must say I was not disappointed. At one point when he used his elbow to apply a little more pressure to my upper thigh he hit some sort of nerve and I almost jumped off the table, now that was a little embarrassing I must say, never had that happen before. I never knew that a massage could make a person feel so fabulous and out of this world. This was one and a half of pure bliss, heaven on earth that won't be soon forgotten.
